Happy springtime, friends! Who else is ready for the warmer temperatures and fresh flowers? Yesterday, I went to our local grocery store and bought Ranunculus – a flower that I’ve never owned or can hardly pronounce the name! But, I’m excited to see fresh blooms everywhere I turn.
This Sunday is Easter and I can’t be more joyous to spend the day with family and thank my savior for the beautiful life he has given us.
We all know after church comes Easter brunch; so here is a yummy, sweet cocktail I discovered on Style Me Pretty. I decided to change a few ingredients and personalize the drink. So skip the mimosas, and instead, try this Pear Gingerade Fizz concoction! Enjoy!
- 4 oz. fresh pear juice
- 6 oz. pear-flavored vodka
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 16 oz. Kombucha Gingerade (I found this at our local Safeway)
- Fresh rosemary
In a small saucepan, mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 water and toss in 1 stem of rosemary. Bring the sugar water to a boil and them remove. Strain the simple syrup into a jar and set aside.
Then, mix the fresh pear juice, vodka, and rosemary simple syrup in a carafe. Add in the Kombucha Gingerade and pour into glasses. Garnish with rosemary or a slice of sugared pear.
